Dragonfly (2020)

For the 2020 version of Dragonfly we slightly raised the ABV, tweaked the hopping and massively changed the water treatment which makes this a completely different beast compared to the 2019 version. Incredibly thick and juicy with a mouthfeel like an 8% DIPA, however clocking in at only 6.5% with tropicality and dankness to write home about.

Medusa

Medusa, one of the monstrous gorgons in Greek mythology, typically depicted with snakes instead of hair, here re-imagined with our flair. A double dry hopped hazy IPA with 7% ABV, dry hopped in mythological proportions with Citra, Amarillo and Galaxy for an ambrosia like tropical drink great enough for Olympus.

AM:PM

AM:PM is a truly sessionable beer that allows you to enjoy all the flavours and body of an IPA. Bags of tropical fruit aromas, pineapple, guava tangerine and passion fruit are balanced with a chewy, honeyed malt character. Gluten free.

Fantasma

A dank and juicy IPA using Golden Promise, wheat and Cara Munich malts in the mash for a sweetly smooth body. For the hops we judiciously bittered with Magnum in the kettle followed by Citra T90 in both the whirlpool and in dry-hopping. The aroma/flavour is fruit-filled, dank and resinous, with plenty of tropical mango giving a moreish drinkability. Fermented with our house American ale yeast (WLP001) for a refreshingly clean finish, this IPA is also our first gluten-free beer using Brewers Clarex®.

200W DIPA

Big sister/brother to our 100W IPA. A double IPA brewed with Mosaic, Citra & Hallertau Blanc hops. Wheat malt and oats add body and smooth mouthfeel. Bitterness balanced by Pale Ale malt

When A Door Closes, Another Opens

Citra, Ekuanot and Mosaic in our latest hazy offering this means lots of zesty grapefruit, lemon grass, and apricot on the nose, backed up by more juicy citrus flavours as you sup. Provides a depth of fruity hop character, and a full mouthfeel which is counterbalanced by a subtle, lingering citrus hop bitterness, and slightly dry, floral finish. Drink it, Crush it. Repeat!

Hop Ottin' IPA

Brilliant copper color with a lingering, lacy white head. The nose sings of grapefruit, pine needles, citron, roses and bergamot. The flavor is rich in the citrusy, resiny flavors from Columbus and Cascade hops packed into this beer balanced artfully with a solid malt character and crisp bitterness leading to a beautifully dry, light herbal finish.

The Big Fat 5 Double IPA

Especially for the 5 year anniversary of the Beertemple in Amsterdam we were asked to create an awesome westcoast style IIPA. Our answer was the big fat double 5 IPA. With 5 hop varieties and some love the beer got a warm welcome! However, the owner of the Beertemple was so impressed he decided to have the beer as his new house-beer! Eventually it became the house beer of the Beertemple, ‘t Arendsnest & Craft&Draft; all located in Amsterdam. The Big Fat Double 5 was given the Gold medal in the Dutch beer challenge for best Imperial IPA of the Netherlands.

Game of Thrones - Iron Anniversary IPA

Brewed in collaboration with Game of Thrones. ‘Iron Anniversary IPA’ is a New Essos IPA - also called NEIPA, hazy or juicy IPA due to its unfiltered appearance and significant amounts of hops that give it a fruity aroma, bringing back memories of the warm days in the Summer Isles. The beer is expressive without being too extreme, highly drinkable and empties out way too quicky from your drinking horn.

Classic Collection - India Pale Ale

An historic brew that conjures up images of high seas and faraway places. An IPA encapsulates centuries of brewing tradition, a quintessentially strong and hoppy beer with a bold, stirring character. Our India Pale Ale delivers this magnificently; pale in colour and generously bittered with locally grown Fuggles hops. ABV is 6.1% in bottle, 4.5% in cask.

Stone Delicious IPA

An intensely citrusy, beautifully bitter beer worthy of the simple-yet-lordly title of Stone Delicious IPA. Lemondrop and El Dorado hops combine to bring on a magnificent lemon candy-like flavor that's balanced by hop spice. Delicious is crafted to reduce gluten.

Corsendonk Agnus Tripel / Abbey Pale Ale

This beer has hops aromas on the nose with spices and fruit notes. Spice on the palate with well-balanced bitterness lingering in the finish.

Timmermans Pêche Lambicus

Timmermans Pêche is made by adding 100% natural peach flavouring to lambic fermenting in oak barrels. This beer’s characteristic aroma is very pleasant on the nose, and it has a velvety flavour and a creamy foam. Timmermans Pêche is a fruity drink, very easy on the palate, to be drunk with a smile on one’s lips.

Timmermans Framboise Lambicus

Timmermans Kriek Lambicus

From the cherry tree’s transient flowers, its fruits ripen – round, red and packed with sunshine. Timmermans Kriek blends its famed lambic with this sweetness for a beer that can quench any thirst. Its natural freshness will make you blush for joy. Its flavour is all cherry, as is already apparent from its very powerful nose. Its acidity is neutralised by its agreeably sweet and fruity bouquet. Its taste pervades the mouth and lingers gently, elegantly tinted with summer cherries.

Apple / Pomme

Making apple beer goes back to ancestral tradition. The Celts drank it in abundance during their harvest festivals. All we have done is extend the pleasure to the present day by adding the juice of several varieties of apples to our delicious lambic. The tasting experience, which is quite exceptional, combines the sweetness of cider with the sourness characteristic of lambic. The Americans are crazy about it, which is why they say, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away".

Westmalle Trappist Dubbel

Westmalle Dubbel is a dark, reddish-brown Trappist beer with a secondary fermentation in the bottle. The creamy head has the fragrance of special malt and leaves an attractive lace pattern in the glass. The flavour is rich and complex, herby and fruity with a fresh-bitter finish. It is a balanced quality beer with a soft feel in the mouth and a long, dry aftertaste. The Dubbel contains 7% alcohol.

Pauwel Kwak

In Napoleon's time Pauwel Kwak was a brewer and the owner of the 'De Hoorn' inn in Dendermonde. Mail coaches stopped there every day. But at that time coachmen were not allowed to leave their coach and horses in order to have their thirst quenched along with their passengers. As a result, the inventive innkeeper had a special Kwak glass blown that could be hung on the coach. In this way the coachman had his Kwak beer safely at hand. LOOK: Kwak is recognisable by its deep bright amber colour and a dense, creamy coloured head. The pale wood of the glass holder makes a pleasant contrast with the beer. SMELL: You will smell a mellow, fruity and malty aroma with a slightly spicy character (coriander, hops). Additional earthy and very subtle aromas of banana and perhaps also a whiff of pineapple or mango in the background. TASTE: Discover a very mellow, fruity attack, a nougat-like solidity, and a slightly spicy character with hints of liquorice passing into a warm finish that reminds you of caramelised banana. The bitterness always remains in the background but in the end emerges delicately.

Tripel Karmeliet

Tripel Karmeliet is still brewed to an authentic beer recipe from 1679 originating in the former Carmelite monastery in Dendermonde. Written over 300 years ago, this recipe describes the use of three kinds of grain: wheat, oats and barley. The name Tripel karmeliet thus refers both to its origin and its in-bottle refermentation. From many trial brews of multigrain tripels carried out at our brewery in the 90s, it appears that the particular historic combination of the 3 kinds of grain still remains the ideal blend.

Duvel

Duvel is a natural beer with a subtle bitterness, a refined flavour and a distinctive hop character. The unique brewing process, which takes about 90 days, guarantees a pure character, delicate effervescence and a pleasant sweet taste of alcohol. Apart from pure spring water, which is the main ingredient of beer, barley is the most important raw material. Barley must germinate for five days in the malt house, after which malt remains. The colour of the malt and as a consequence also of the beer is determined by the temperature. Duvel obtains its typical bitterness by adding various varieties of aromatic Slovenian and Czech hops. We use only exclusive hops that are renowned for their constant, outstanding quality. Duvel ferments for the first time in tanks at 20 to 26°C. The brewer uses his own culture for this. The original yeast strain, which Victor Moortgat himself selected in the 1920’s, originates from Scotland. After maturing in storage tanks in which the beer is cooled down to -2°C, the drink is ready for bottling. Thanks to the addition of extra sugars and yeast, the beer ferments again in the bottle. This occurs in warm cellars (24°C) and takes two weeks. Then the beer is moved to cold cellars, where it continues to mature and stabilise for a further six weeks. This extra long maturation period is unique and contributes to the refined flavour and pure taste of Duvel.

Cherry Chouffe

The gnomes love Achouffe beers and the juicy cherries which grow in their magical land. Every year they gather and store them in the attics at the brewery. One day, after an abundant season, the floor gave way under the weight of the harvest, and some cherries fell into the Mc CHOUFFE brewing below. Impish as ever, the gnomes kept quiet about the incident. Surprised to discover a glowing, ruby-tinted beer with a fruity taste, the master brewer decided to bottle it up. Enjoy Cherry CHOUFFE carefully to avoid staining your beard and always drink it in delightful company.

Brother Thelonious

Like a Belgian "Dark Strong Ale," this beer is rich and robust with an ABV of 9.4%. The package features a label picturing the Jazz master himself, and comes in either a 375 or 750 ml bottle with a traditional cork and wire finish, or 12 oz. 4-packs.

Westmalle Trappist Tripel

Was first brewed in 1934 and the recipe has not changed since 1956. It is made with pale candy sugar and has a very pale color produced from a mash of light pilsener malts. Styrian Goldings hops are used along with some German varieties and the classic Saaz pilsener hop. After a long secondary fermentation, the Tripel Westmalle is bottled with a dose of sugar and yeast. This beer holds up well in the bottle over time and seems to soften with age.

Trappistes Rochefort 10

Dominant impressions of latte coffee with powerful chocolate aromas in the nose. The alcohol esters are enveloped with hints of autumn wood, citrus zest (orange, lemon) and freshly baked biscuits. The initial taste is sweetly sinful. Beer and chocolate trapped into one single glass, a liquid milky draught with a backbone of bitter malt. The alcohol warms the throat and, in the finish, you will pick up traces of cloves, citrus, orange and mocha. The heaviest of the Rochefort beers, the 10 is a quadrupel style beer and can be recognized by its blue label.

3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze

A true Geuze. A blend of 1, 2, and 3 year-old lambic unfiltered and unpasteurized and aged in the bottle for at least 6 months after blending. Continued fermentation in the bottle give this Geuze its famous champagne-like spritziness. The lambic that goes into it is brewed only with 60% barley malt, 40% unmalted wheat, aged hops, and water, spontaneously fermented by wild yeasts, and matured in oak casks. 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze is a blend of one-, two-, and three-year old lambics. Spontaneous fermentation, patient maturation in oak barrels, and continued evolution of the ecosystem in the bottle result in a distinctively complex and elegant natural beer. No two bottlings are alike, as there are multiple variables in the blending process, a variety of barrel sizes and shapes, differences in aged lambic proportions in the blend, etc. When cellared properly, 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze can be aged for several decades. The aromas and flavours will evolve from notes of vibrant fresh citrus, zesty and grassy notes to a mellow, oaky, stone fruit bouquet as the lambic continues to develop with time. Lambic and Geuze are living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley! When we got the chance to brew an Extra Special Bitter in a collaboration with Fuller’s late in 2018 we thought we would only get one shot at brewing the ESB beer style. But the locals have asked us to brew the beer again and again. Hence, Trad Jazz Returns, just a little drier than the first edition, and packing more East Kent Goldings in the dry hopping. A residual malt sweetness balances with a gentle, lingering, citrussy bitterness, which sets up a drying but moreish finish.

There is a long story to this malty ale. It was first brewed in the spring 2006 in Nørrebro Bryghus in Copenhagen, Denmark, as a joint brew between Nøgne Ø and Nørrebro. Nørrebro calls their version “Double Knot Brown”. Recommended serving temperature 12°C/50°F

Ten FIDY

This titanic, immensely viscous stout is loaded with inimitable flavors of chocolate-covered caramel and coffee and hide a hefty 65 IBUs underneath the smooth blanket of malt. It is made with enormous amounts of two-row malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley, flaked oats and hops.

Stone Xocoveza

Enzo Bartoli Rosato Organic Brut

This dry, fresh, light pink rosé wine is made from two local grapes, Barbera and Dolcetto. To give the wine a summery character the grapes are harvested a few weeks earlier than normal. The notably light color to Enzo Bartoli Rosato follows the current trend of fresh, light, crisp rosé wines. Enzo Bartoli Rosato is generous in its youthful nose with tones of apple, elderflower, peach, red currant, grapefruit and wild strawberry. The wine has an intense mid-pallet with notes of sun ripened raspberry, wild strawberry with red grapefruit. The wine is often drank as an aperitif but also pairs wonderfully to light salads, grilled fish, asian cuisine, and light meat like the classic Vitello Tonnato.Enzo Bartoli Rosato is ready to drink now.

Chapoutier Marius rose

Appearance: Bright, rose petal.Nose: Floral with an amylic note.Palate: Clean on entry, nice acid balance, full, enhanced by notes of white-fleshed fruit.

Nespolino

This pleasant wine has an intense ruby red color and thanks also to the partial aging process of the wine in barriques, it gives a soft feeling to the palate. The main fruit aromas are cherry and violet, typical of the Sangiovese, together with herbs and chocolate aromas from the Merlot. Dry and harmonious, it is an overall well-balanced wine.

Clontarf

A blended Irish whiskey, Clontarf Classic was originally a 100% grain whiskey from Cooley, but these days the product has a very small amount of malt in it, with the grain supplied by Irish Distillers (top inside info from Jim Murray's Whisky bible there - JM gives it 86 points).

Maker's Mark

Woody oak, caramel, vanilla and wheat prevail in the nose. Sweet and balanced with caramel, vanilla and fruity essences.

Laphroaig 10 years

Laphroaig 10yo is a full-bodied, smoky gem, with a residual sweetness and a hint of salt amid the seaweedy, peaty characters before a long warming finish. A classic dram.

Dalwhinnie 15 years

Dalwhinnie 15yo is a good introduction to the delights of single malt whisky – elegant, smooth and medium-bodied, with a light, fruity palate and a whiff of heather on the finish. Part of Diageo's Classic Malt range.

Duvel 10 years

Duvel Distilled, 10 years old, is delicious in combination with grilled fish and meat, sauces made with Vin Jaune or Sherry, vegetables such as artichokes and Brussels sprouts, fruit such as mangoes, peaches and bananas. Also dark chocolate, crème brûlée, apple pie, or aged, hard cheeses such as Parmesan or mature Groendael are a great combination with Duvel Distilled.

Mackmyra Svensk Rök

Slightly smoky and spicy with aromas of peat, juniper and vanilla fudge. Smokier than the nose with smoky, peaty, juniper notes. Dry, oaky aromas found with light tobacco leaves and herbs. A slight saltiness with minerals, anise and green fruits.

Jameson

Hugely popular Irish blend, renowned for its affinity with ginger ale. The default springboard into the fascinating world of Irish whiskey, Jameson's quality has improved massively in the last 10-15 years and it's one of Jim Murray's favourites, with 95 points in the Whisky Bible 2013.
